Touro College's Entrepreneurial Institute is pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture with Young Startup Venture Inc. -- the "Center for Israeli Innovation (CII)."
CII will evaluate and select for incubation several choice Israeli and New York startup ventures. Dr. Bernard Lander, founder and president of Touro College has approved space allocation for CII at Touro's newly created Graduate School of Business (GSB) facility at 65 Broadway in Manhattan.
CII will provide the incubated companies with subsidized office facilities in the heart of Wall Street, including desk and conference space, computer equipment, and telecommunication. Beyond administrative support, hands-on assistance will include professional business consultation and mentoring, and networking for funding sources. Other critical assistance will involve outside contacts with angel/VC investors, industry and marketing specialists, management and board staffing candidates, and legal and intellectual property protection.
Dr. Lander is seen here signing the agreement with Joe Benjamin, President of Young Startup Venture Inc. Also present at the Agreement signing were Graduate School of Business Dean Charles Snow, and Dr. Larry Bellman, Director of Touro's Entrepreneurial Institute.
"We are very excited about helping the selected Israeli and New York startup firms to succeed in their venture launches,. said Dr. Bellman. "We intend to take a very proactive role with these companies, and will form an influential Board of Advisors who can also provide sound marketing and financial advice."
